The race was organised in Oamaru by Sport Waitaki. Co-ordinator Mitch McRae said about 500 people registered for the event, and runners of all ages completed a 5km circuit.
Five colour stations were set up at various points and each runner was peppered with coloured powder as they passed.
"It’s great to see a lot of families and people just here for a bit of fun, really. That’s what it’s about."
