A car caught fire in Maheno at the weekend.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand were called to the fire on State Highway 1 in Maheno, south of Oamaru, at 9.30pm on Sunday.
Sergeant Blair Wilkinson, of Oamaru, said police were called to assist Fenz with traffic.
The fire was not a result of a crash and no-one was injured, Sgt Wilkinson said.
