Council grants total $15,000

Grants totalling $15,000 have been made by the Waitaki District Council's grants and awards committee.

The committee considered applications from 17 groups for almost $38,000.

Grants made were:

Waitaki district schools pipe band $3250, 45 South Television $2500, Maheno Home and School $2100, Parents Inc attitude youth division $2022, Otago Multiple Sclerosis Society $1428, Oamaru and Districts Victim Support $1000, Kakanui Civil Defence $800, Palmerston Deerstalkers and Hunters Club $500, Meadowbank United Football Club $400, Central Coast Country Music $400, Waitaki Friends of Library $400, NFOBB Penguin Protection $200.
