More than 310 entries were received, slightly down on last year’s total.
Categories included cut flowers, pot plants, floral art, orchids, vegetables and photography.
The society’s secretary, Reg Partridge, said the main attraction was the daffodil display, which featured the winners of the open, intermediate and novice classes.
Yvonne Ballantyne’s bright yellow daffodil in full bloom was named champion and premier bloom, while Rory Lawrence’s Matika daffodil claimed the champion vase prize.
Allan Adamson was awarded the most points across all classes for his blooms.
Mr Partridge said the 2016 growing season has been solid rather than spectacular.
"They were probably a wee bit slow in growing this year, but we didn’t get the severe storms prior to the show that we sometimes get, so it’s been quite a good season really."
However, he said the number of entries tended to vary from year to year.
There was a steady stream of people through the hall to admire the blooms on both Saturday, when judging was held, and yesterday.
