Pupils and staff at Weston School marked Pink Shirt Day by donning their finest pink threads yesterday. In New Zealand, Pink Shirt Day is aimed at creating schools, workplaces and communities where all people feel safe, valued and respected.
Weston School principal Nicky Ryan said the school had focused on the initiative’s anti-bullying message this week through learning and a "kindness challenge", which involved children being asked to share kind words about others or perform acts of kindness.
