A large piece of timber which fell off the back of a truck and hit a van near Duntroon has prompted an appeal from police to identify the truck.
Senior Constable Blair Corlet, of Oamaru, said the
truck was believed to be transporting two small huts about 3.20pm on Wednesday. The timber caused considerable damage to the front of the van it hit, he said.
