Oamaru police recovered a "distinctive" motorcycle officers had seen around town three hours after it was reported stolen.
The yellow Suzuki motorcross-style bike was reported stolen from an Elizabeth Cres, North Oamaru, shed about 3pm on Thursday. It was identified by its owner from police photos and recovered from a local address by 6pm, police said.
No arrests had yet been made. Police inquiries were ongoing.
