Plant auction raises more than $600 for bushfire relief

Putting her mum's green thumb to good use, 9-year-old Bella Tacchini, of Oamaru, has raised more than $600 in an online plant auction to raise money for Australian bushfire relief efforts.

On Saturday, Bella will set up a table in front of her parents Yanina and Pablo Tacchini’s Tees Street Cafe, in Tees St, to sell some of her toys to add to the total.

The money she raises will be given to the NSW Rural Fire Service and wildlife rescue organisation.
