Two male teenagers were arrested after they were caught breaking into a car in North Oamaru on Tuesday evening.
Constable Dean Paterson said the 17-year-olds were found trying to break into the vehicle in College St, at 11.50pm.
They were caught near Waitaki Boys’ High School, and arrested.
The pair have been referred to Youth Aid, Const Paterson said.
