Every year on Pink Shirt Day, a national anti-bullying campaign, the Oamaru secondary school encourages pupils to dress up in pink and bring a gold coin donation for the Mental Health Foundation.
Co-ordinated by guidance counsellor Mat Harris, the school also acknowledged the importance of creating an environment where everyone could feel safe, valued and respected.
