Craft beer was the order of the day many times over in Frankton on Saturday.
The Heartland Craft Beer Festival at Remarkables Park was a full-day affair, from 11am-7pm.
Co-organiser Simon Green said for the event's first year it was ''not too bad''.
''We were happy with the numbers [of people attending] but we could have done with more,'' Mr Green said.
''The feedback has been fantastic.''
The particular week was a ''hard slot'' as it is the week after Wanaka's Rippon music festival and the week before the Summer Concert Tour in Gibbston with Lynyrd Skynyrd as a headline act. He hoped the event would return next year but would look at dates.
