A scheduled court appearance of a Queenstown police constable facing an offensive language charge has been postponed.
Constable Jenny McNee, charged earlier this month after an internal investigation into an alleged incident involving a local taxi driver, had her first appearance in Queenstown District Court today adjourned.
It has been rescheduled for May 27.
In a statement two weeks ago, Otago Rural acting area commander Inspector Andrew Burns confirmed the 43-year-old McNee remained on leave without pay.
It's understood cab camera footage of what happened has been provided to police by Queenstown Taxis.
