Incidents at Shotover Bridge

A number of incidents have been reported at Shotover Bridge just outside Queenstown.

Police were contacted at 5pm yesterday by a member of the public who reported vandalism. They told police they saw the culprits using an ‘orange pole' to daub graffiti. The offenders were described as a short female and a tall male with foreign accents.

Senior Constable, Chris Blackford of Queenstown police told the Otago Daily Times they are looking for a Green Subaru station wagon, registration, AZE 137.

He encouraged anyone who witnessed the vandalism to come forward to police.

Following this, at 8pm, a male was spotted jumping ‘up and down' on the bonnet of a car on Shotover Bridge. The car in question was then found on its side with its windows broken. Enquiries are ongoing in relation to the vehicle and police are appealing for information.
