The Queenstown Lakes District Council is refusing to comment on a rates rounding stoush with New Zealand Post.
The council said in a press statement on Wednesday that New Zealand Post's computer system was to blame for the land area on rates demands being rounded up to the nearest whole 100sq m.
However, New Zealand Post told the Otago Daily Times: ''We did as we were instructed, and did not round up any data.''
Asked for a response yesterday, council communications manager Michele Poole said ''I confirm that the council is not making further comment today.''
