After a sold-out reading at the Festival of Colour, Productive Productions is bringing a play about Freedom Camping to Arrowtown this weekend.
It's Your S***, written by Liz Breslin, is set in the fictional West Coast town of Boondock, where Jonno is fed up with freedom campers defecating on his patch. His reaction comes as a surprise to his friend Steve and the hapless English honeymooners they kidnap.
The play will be performed in Arrowtown on Saturday and Sunday, supported by the Queenstown Lakes District Council events office. It features a cast of 15 and is directed by Anna Shaw.
Breslin said she was ''delighted'' by the way the cast and crew had brought her play to life, while Ms Shaw said there were plans to tour it further - ''London, Paris, Okarito''.
- It's Your S*** will be performed on May 24 and 25 at the Arrowtown Athenaeum Hall, doors opening at 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Tickets cost $20 per adult and $10 per student, available at the Lakes District Museum.
