A strong showing from Wakatipu's Chinese community is expected next Saturday at Moke Lake for the Chinese Christmas picnic.
Organiser Michelle Puo said friends and family of the Chinese community were invited to enjoy a day in the sun to celebrate Christmas early before many head home. After a great turnout last year, Mr. Puo said she wanted to celebrate with others again.
The picnic will be a potluck and guests are to bring their own food, drinks and toys for the children.
Those unsure of where to go are to meet at 73 Hallenstein St at noon.
