Principal 'disappointed' over lolly shop footage

Police have spoken to the principal of an ‘‘upmarket'' Australian college about a group of pupils who allegedly stole about $40 of sweets from a shop in Beach St last month.

Senior Constable Chris Blackford said police contacted the principal of the Adelaide college on Tuesday. No formal arrangements had been made for reparation.

The young people were allegedly caught on CCTV and the footage was posted to the police Facebook page.

Snr Const Blackford said the principal expressed his ‘‘disappointment at the behaviour of some of his students''.
