Volunteers are called to help eradicate wilding pine trees in the Ben Lomond basin on February 22.
The following Sunday is a weather reserve day.
Queenstown Lakes District Council project manager Grant McLennan said volunteers would be ''helicoptering to a work site at the top of the old Fern Hill Loop track''.
He asked interested people to register with him at the council.
