A 29-year-old man has been arrested following a spate of burglaries throughout the Wakatipu Basin recently.

Detective Senior Sergeant Malcolm Inglis, of Queenstown, said police carried out several search warrants last week, recovering a large amount of property from residential and commercial burglaries over the past two months.

However, police were still seeking sightings of a light gold-coloured 2002 Range Rover, taken in one of the burglaries from a Closeburn property in the middle of September.

The man is expected to appear in the Queenstown District Court today on several charges, including burglary.
