It's an honour

The Governor-General of New Zealand Sir Anand Satyanand (left) invests Dr Francis (Pat) Farry, of Queenstown, as a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to rural medicine at an investiture ceremony held at Larnach Castle, Dunedin, yesterday.

Dr Farry has been a GP and involved in rural practice for more than 35 years. He also has a long association with the education of GPs and was the regional director of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners' registrar training programme.
