Queenstown's new two-lane Kawarau Bridge, on State Highway 6 between Kelvin Heights and Frankton, will briefly return to a single lane.
Temporary traffic control measures will be in place at the southernend of the $22 million bridge, which opened in May, from today until Friday.
The bridge would be reduced to one lane while contractor McConnell Dowell installed new boardwalk sections using a crane.
Motorists were advised to factor in extra time to allow for delays.
