Making a break for it in women’s sevens

Wakatipu women's sevens player Rachel Scott makes a dash for it during her team's game against Invercargill's Blues in Queenstown on Saturday, during the second round of the Rugby Southland Women's Sevens competition.

Wakatipu manager and club captain Jeremy Drake said the round-robin tournament doubled as a selection process for the Southland Women's sevens squad, which was trying to qualify for the national tournament being held in December.

The third and final round of the four-team competition will be held in Woodlands on October 27.
