Queenstown's Yonder was a hub of discussion and ideas over the weekend as it hosted MindJam.

A joint venture between Queenstown’s Catalyst Trust and the University of Otago’s division of humanities, the event featured a series of interactive discussions with experts on a range of topics  from the future of  farming to Captain James Cook.

It launched on Friday night with a look at bioethics through the lens of Frankenstein, led by Prof Tony Ballantyne and Prof Sue Lederer.

Speaking ahead of the event last week, Catalyst Trust’s Cath Gilmour said organisers wanted "big variety" at this year’s event.

"It’s great to have a thinking event that’s not just about business."
