Consultation on proposed changes to speed limits in the Queenstown Lakes District has been extended and changes to the process have been made following public feedback.
The new speed limit bylaw 2019 would reduce several speed limits across the district, and make some temporary reductions permanent.
In a media release last week, the council said the extended timeframe was in response to public feedback which prompted it to review both the supporting information available and the level of detail in the submission process.
Consultation began on March 11 and was due to end last Friday. It will now finish on May 13.
