Professional director Andrew Blair has been named as a trustee and new chairman of the Queenstown Lakes Community Housing Trust, subject to Queenstown Lakes District Council ratification next month.
His appointment follows the resignation of present chairman Martin Hawes, who will step down at the end of this year.
Mr Blair is an independent adviser to Southern Cross Hospitals Ltd to establish an independent hospital in the Queenstown Lakes District, and was also the chairman of the Southern Partnership Group, commissioned to oversee the redevelopment of Dunedin Public Hospital.
He said he was "delighted" to join the housing trust and looked forward to overseeing "significant growth as the trust reaches for new levels".
