About 250 deserving people in Wakatipu will receive a basket of goodies, thanks to the Baskets of Blessing group, which is now in its sixth year.
Volunteers spent the morning putting the baskets together. They were delivered in the afternoon.
Founder Tam Schurmann said the level of support left her "speechless".
"I sat down and read through the nominations this morning and my heart was going to break, and then I came here.
"It’s actually what Christmas is all about."
