European-style terraced housing is being marketed at Queenstown’s Arthurs Point.

It’s stage three of the Bullendale Special Housing Area (SHA), following the sell-out of 27 stage one and two townhouses.

Stage three, The Alpine Terraces, comprises 34 terraced-style homes.

Fourteen were launched to the market yesterday and are for sale via deadline treaty, closing on November 30 at 12pm.

Situated above the first two stages, and separated by a large stone entrance wall, The Alpine Terraces will take in stunning views of the Shotover River valley, which has helped inspire the design of the homes.

Stage three offers six two- to four-bedroom configurations, suiting a range of buyers, set in a landscaped street environment.

Homes have been designed to maximise living on the sunny north side, including gardens and decks.

They all have a two-car garage and visitor park, with the four-bedroom homes having an additional uncovered park.

“With high-grade PVC double-glazed windows, central heating and a European-style design, the quality package offered by The Alpine Terraces is rarely seen in the Queenstown market,” developer Shane Fairmaid says.

“We have focused on providing well-insulated, warm homes built for Queenstown’s cooler winters, while also ensuring they remain as affordable as possible.”

He adds: “We found in stage one that the deadline sale process was received well by the market, especially first-home buyers.

“This method enables people time to do their due diligence, secure funding and feel comfortable with the purchase prior to making their offer.”

Fairmaid encourages buyers with $549,000-plus budgets to enquire.

Bullendale was approved as an SHA- under legislation designed to improve housing supply and affordability - in June last year,

Stage one and two townhouses were almost all bought by first-home buyers, Fairmaid says, with stage two homes priced from $609,000. The first residents are likely to move in early 2018.

Overall, Bullendale will comprise 88 townhouses, terraced-style homes and apartments. It’s targeted for completion by late 2019.
