Trapped in canyon

 

A 52-year-old woman was trapped underwater for a time at the Bridal Veil Falls in Skippers Canyon on Sunday afternoon.

The canyoning client was rescued by guides.

A 20-year-old guide had also suffered a lower leg injury.

Guides took the injured pair to a helicopter, which flew them to Lakes District Hospital for treatment.
