Two people have been injured, including one who became stuck in a tree down an embankment, following a crash in Queenstown.
A police spokesman said police were called to a crash between a car and a motorcycle on Fernhill Road about 8.27pm.
He said one person went off the road, down a bank, and became stuck in a tree.
Two people were injured and St John had been notified, he said.
The road is currently blocked.
A St John spokesman said one person was taken by ambulance to Lakes District Hospital with moderate injuries.
