UK man four times over limit: police

A man from the United Kingdom has allegedly been caught four times over the legal drink-driving limit in Queenstown, police say.

Senior Sergeant Paula Enoka said the 26-year-old was randomly stopped on Duke St at 1.45am today.

He had a breath alcohol reading of 1015mcg. The legal limit is 250mcg.

The man's licence has been suspended for 28 days.

He would appear in the Queenstown Lakes District Court on Monday.
