Pupils from Aspen High School in Colorado have been busy exploring the breathtaking sights of their hometown's "sister city''.

Nine exchange pupils from the school met Queenstown Mayor Jim Boult and local Chamber of Commerce chief executive Ann Lockhart yesterday, at the Skyline Gondola in Queenstown, to talk about some of the highlights of their 10-day trip so far.

The youngsters are staying with the families of eight Wakatipu High School pupils as part of the scheme.

They have relished the opportunity to explore the area, including a visit to Walter Peak, Milford Sound and an exhilarating ride on the Shotover Jet.
