Snow possible on southern roads

MetService has issued snow warnings for several southern roads on Monday.

The forecaster says a front is expected to move across the country from the west early tomorrow, preceded by strong northwesterly winds and heavy rain in some places.

MetService says the Lindis Pass (State Highway 8), the Crown Range Road and the Milford Road (SH94) could all expect a few centimetres of snow through Monday morning, but little was expected to settle.

Further north, Lewis, Porters and Arthur's passes could get a few centimetres of snow later on Monday.
