Police have released the name of a cyclist who died following a crash near Twizel on Wednesday.
He was 61-year-old Mitsuaki Inagaki of Nagano, Japan.
Mr Inagaki was on holiday in New Zealand at the time of the crash, on State Highway 8.
Another man was flown to Christchurch Hospital’s emergency department in a serious condition following the accident.
Police enquiries are ongoing.
