Fire crews attended a carbon dioxide leak at DB Breweries in Washdyke, Timaru early today.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said three appliances and a command unit attended the gas leak at the brewery about 1.40am.
The gas leak was contained by an engineer and firefighters in breathing apparatus by 3am, and no one was injured or at risk during the incident, the spokesman said.
