The Mackenzie District Council has added to its ranks as it readies for Twizel and Tekapo’s ‘‘expected significant influx of visitors’’ this summer.
The contractor would deal with issues related to freedom camping and dogs, and respond to noise complaints, council group manager regulations, Karina Morrow said.
Extra facilities, such as toilets, would be installed in some places across the district, with those areas patrolled regularly.
People wanting to register complaints or make inquiries can contact the council.
