Overdue tramper located

Police have located an overdue tramper who was reported missing earlier today.

A police spokeswoman said it received a report of a tramper who was several days overdue from returning from a track in Hopkins Valley, north of Lake Ohau.

Police Search and  Rescue has been advised of the situation.

At 12.50pm, the tramper was located, however their exact location had not been pinpointed, she said.

No further information was yet available, due to the lack of communication at the scene, she said.
