Teen charged with Timaru armed robbery

Police are charging a 14-year-old in relation to the armed robbery of a dairy in Timaru.

Police said four people took cash and cigarettes from the Morgans Road store at about 8.30am on Friday morning, while equipped with weapons.

The 14-year-old has been charged with robbery and will appear in Christchurch Youth Court on Tuesday.

The police are continuing to investigate to identify the other three people involved.

Nobody was injured in the robbery, they said.
