Timaru man killed in motorcycle crash named

Police have released the name of the man who was killed in a motorcycle crash near Timaru at the weekend.

Michael Ferris (58), of Timaru, died in a motorcycle crash near the intersection of Rosewill Valley Rd and King Rd on Saturday.

Police confirmed officers were called to the scene about 7.50am.

Mr Ferris died after crashing through a fence about 6km north of Timaru.
