The competition featured 21 entries across four categories, celebrating style, innovation and craftsmanship.
Models paraded their creations before judges Sarah Thomas, a two-time winner of the NZ Hat and Hair Art Awards, and local artist Sabina Turner.
In a statement, Ms Thomas said the level of craftsmanship was impressive.

The celebration continued on Sunday with a vibrant market day at Caroline Bay, drawing large crowds under perfect weather conditions.
Stallholders enjoyed strong support from the community, while visitors were entertained by live music and family-friendly activities throughout the day.
The festive atmosphere showed the popularity of this free community event.
Festival chairwoman Jan Chambers said she was delighted with the turnout and the positive feedback from attendees and stallholders.
