Martin Bull
Sergeant Martin Bull, of Balclutha, said Rae Duncan Edward Black (89) died in Dunedin Hospital.
Mr Black was badly hurt when the mobility scooter he was riding was involved in a collision with a truck-and-trailer unit in a service lane.
Police are still investigating the incident.
