Arrested on cannabis charges

Police arrested two Balclutha men yesterday and charged them with several cannabis-related offences.

Six police officers with a drug dog from the Corrections Department carried out drug warrants at two separate addresses in Balclutha.

The two men, both in their 40s, face charges of possessing cannabis, cultivating cannabis and possessing utensils for cannabis.

Acting Sergeant Murray Hewitson said other substances found had been sent away for analysis.
