Hotel entry upset results in arrest

A man was arrested after being refused entry to a Balclutha hotel on Sunday morning.

Senior Constable Robin Hutton said the 21-year-old Balclutha man ''took exception'' to being refused entry to the South Otago Hotel in Clyde St in the early hours of Sunday, and an altercation ensued.

He was later located by police and arrested.

He is due to appear in court on Friday charged with disorderly behaviour likely to cause violence.
