A woman using a pedestrian crossing escaped injury when three vehicles crashed on Clyde St yesterday morning.
Constable Deidre Mills, of Balclutha, said a Toyota Hilux driven by a 32-year-old Kaka Point man rear-ended a Toyota Hiace van. The van, driven by a 22-year-old Israeli tourist, was shunted into a Nissan Tiida taxi which was stopped at a pedestrian crossing near Clutha Health First at 10.30am.
She said a woman was using the Clyde St crossing at the time, but was not hit, and no-one was injured. Driver inattention may have been a factor, Const Mills said.
