Return of Sunday markets close

Balclutha's Sunday markets will be back from early next month.

Project Clutha is helping co-ordinate the gathering to be held in the Paper Plus car park every Sunday from November 8.

Group chairwoman Donna Carline said several popular stalls from last summer's markets will be back inclu-ding stalls selling cheese, fresh vegetables, ready-to-eat foods and flowers.

There will also be spaces for car boot sales where people can pay a $12 fee to sell items from their car boot.

"Remember, one person's junk could be another person's treasure," Ms Carline said.

The market will also keep a designated space free each week from which community groups can sell fundraising items.

Ms Carline said the markets were popular last summer and she was sure the public would again flock to the weekly event.

"If you haven't been, it is a great opportunity to buy fresh, meet people and make the most of this great facility."
