A new subdivision in North Balclutha was officially given the name "Plantation Heights" by Clutha district councillors this week.
The council chose the name from 34 suggested in a naming competition.
Plantation Heights was chosen because the development site was formerly a forestry block.
The names of three streets and two reserves in the subdivision will be decided at the council’s October 6 meeting.
