A hot, dry start to the autumn in the Upper Clutha has proved a blessing for those involved in harvesting - a top temperature of 26degC was recorded in Wanaka yesterday.
There has been no stopping those producing big round bales - like these on a farm which has Mt Barker as a backdrop.
Mt Barker Rd, looking towards the Cardrona River, has a definite autumn tan.
And, although the lavender flowers have begun to fade, tourists have been making use of a strategically placed door at the Wanaka Lavender Farm, on the outskirts of Wanaka.
