Landslides have hit a storage building in Milford Sound this morning.

A police spokeswoman said reports came in at 10.18am of "three landslides involving trees" Fairfax reports.

A number of trees had been brought down on to the building in each of the landslides, the New Zealand Herald reported. The area had now been isolated and secured by emergency services..

There were no reported injuries but the Fire Service said there were concerns for crews on the scene that an LPG cylinder bank was now leaking, Stacey Hunt told the Herald.

Winds were helping to disperse LPG gas leak, and fire crews were spraying water over the bank of damaged cylinders.

Those inside the nearby Milford Sound Visitor Terminal have been evacuated while firefighters contain the gas leak.
