Emergency services could not locate two buses which reportedly slid off the road after a diesel spill on a highway in Fiordland this morning.
A police spokesman said no buses were found after reports they slid off the road due to diesel spilled on State Highway 94 near Lake Gunn, about 80km north of Te Anau towards Milford Sound, about 10.30am.
Ambulance and fire crews from Te Anau were also deployed.
The origin of the spill was unclear.
