Crayfish on the menu soon

A helicopter flies the first of the season’s crayfish catch from Blanket Bay Island after it was landed by boats owned by David and Neville Excell, who hold the consent for Blanket Bay.

The Excells have repaired and rebuilt the fishing depot, which was established on a the tiny islet in the mouth of Doubtful Sound in the 1960s.
