A house in Gore has been damaged in an early morning blaze.
The Fire Service got multiple calls about the blaze on the corner of Hamilton St and Lawrence St at 4am.
By the time firefighters got there 10 minutes later, it was well alight.
Fire Service southern communications shift manager Riwai Grace said all the Gore, Mataura and Pukerau volunteers were sent to help and it took about 90 minutes to put the fire out.
Crews were taking off some of the roof and dampening the house down.
Mr Grace said there were no reports of injuries but he was not sure if anyone was inside at the time of the fire.
